Head of Teaching and Learning

Southern Vales Christian College is a vibrant and growing Foundation to Year 12 school with campuses at Morphett Vale and Aldinga. The College is a ministry of Harvest Australia Church.

Head of Teaching and Learning

Morphett Vale Campus and  Aldinga Campus

Morphett Vale Campus and/or Aldinga Campus

Commencing 2027

The successful applicant will have/be:

  • a dynamic Christian educator whose personal qualities include enthusiasm and optimism;

  • committed to the ethos, vision and mission of the College for Christ-centred, biblically-based schooling and have a particular calling to excellence within the Secondary faculty;

  • an active and committed member of a Christian Church;

  • committed to the ministry of Christian schooling;

  • an energetic, highly motivated self-starter;

  • appropriately qualified;

  • dedicated to the pastoral care of students;

  • able to provide a stimulating and relevant learning environment which facilitates students maximising their potential;

  • familiar with differentiated assessment strategies and technologies that assist student success within the classroom setting.

  • Provide pastoral care and wellbeing support to students, including responsibility for a Pastoral/Home Group (mentor group) or similar advisory class.

  • In addition to teaching, there is an opportunity to deliver The Rite Journey program, and prior familiarity with the program would be highly regarded.

Aldinga Campus

Fixed Term Replacement Contract Part Time

Commencing Term 4 2026

We are looking for an innovative educator with a passion for developing learners using a variety of teaching and learning methodologies.

The successful applicant will have/be:

  • have a Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (approved by ACECQA) minimum qualification

  • be an active and committed member of a Christian Church;

  • be committed to the ministry of Christian schooling;

  • be an energetic, highly motivated self-starter;

  • be Part time, eager to be part of a growing creative and innovative ELC team;

  • have a sound knowledge of NQF and EYLF, Play, Inquiry and Project Based Learning;

  • understand Reggio Emilia Approach and Nature Education;

  • be nurturing and friendly interaction with children, dedicated to the pastoral care;

  • be resilient, resourceful and positive problem solver;

  • be flexible, collaborative and have teamwork skills;

  • available and engaged to work while the service is open; and

  • be highly creative in developing and implementing curricular plans.

  • have adequate knowledge and understanding of the provision of education and care to children

  • have the ability to effectively supervise service operations, by actively responding to arising matters while following the service director’s guidance, goals and core instructions.

The successful applicant will have/be:

  • have a diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care minimum qualification

  • be Part time, eager to be part of a growing creative and innovative ELC team;

    *While this role is primarily located at the Morphett Vale campus, as part of their employment, all Early Learning Centre staff are required to maintain flexibility and may be directed to work at the Aldinga campus on occasion to support operational and staffing needs. *
