Starting school is a big milestone for both children and parents. At Southern Vales Christian College, our Mid-Year Foundation Intake offers a pathway into school life, aimed to help your child begin their learning journey with confidence.
Our Mid-Year Foundation intake provides a stepping stone into school for children who are ready to start their learning journey early or those who could benefit from an extended transition period (six terms).
We nurture a sense of wonder in a warm, supportive environment where strong relationships help children grow in confidence as learners and share their ideas with others.
Mid-Year Foundation intake may be ideal for your child if:
- Your child would benefit from a calmer, easier transition into school. Smaller intake groups and personalised attention allows children to have more time to settle into a well-established classroom environment.

- Curiosity and a love for learningYour child is ready to begin learning. Our experienced Foundation teachers tailor teaching to meet each child’s needs. Your child will be supported in developing:
