Celebrating the Opening of the Aldinga Early Learning Centre

Aldinga ELC Opening Ceremony

The sound of children laughing and squealing in delight as they play happily together. One is busy pumping water over the mini creek, while another slides down the slide. The looming Willunga hills are the dreamy landscape they look upon every day. This was the vision for our new Aldinga Early Learning Centre since its conception.

Over the last few years, but particularly in 2025, our College staff and contractors worked hard preparing. We wanted a warm, nurturing space for preschool-aged children in the Onkaparinga area. The vision included an inviting environment for our young ones to grow, develop and learn at an age-appropriate pace suitable for each child. Above all, we wanted a place where young children could learn about and experience the love of God.

After months and months of planning, building, landscaping, problem-solving, painting, hiring staff, advertising, promoting, and praying, we were able to celebrate the accomplishment of our dream coming true.

On 22nd January 2026, our staff gathered together to celebrate the opening of our Aldinga ELC.

The day held an overwhelming sense of excitement as we unveiled the plaque and cut the ribbon, officially opening the building, ready for our children.

We were delighted to welcome the Dornford Group, who were the wonderful builders of our new early learning centre.

Our business manager and leader of this project, David Chehade, spoke on the history of our Morphett Vale ELC, reflected on how he made this dream a reality, honoured everyone involved, and thanked our God for His providence.

It was a wonderful day that marked the beginning of a new chapter for our College.
