Canberra visit for compass conference
Mr Kowald and students attended the Compass Conference in Canberra and shared this update:
”I had the privilege of taking the College Head and Deputy Captains to Canberra for the Compass Conference from Friday March 1st to Tuesday March 5th.
This was an incredible opportunity for them to be able to connect with other student leaders from Christian Schools around Australia, grow in their faith and knowledge of the bible, as well as discussing ideas and the potential impact that they can have at SVCC in 2024.
Friday was largely a sightseeing day, visiting the Mount Ainslie Lookout, Cockington Green Gardens, Lake Burley Griffin and Questacon, with the rest of the time being devoted to attending the conference sessions from 8:30am to around 9:00pm each day. This also included a formal visit to the Australian Parliament, War Memorial and the Centre for Christianity and Culture, as well as having a fun time participating with all the other conference delegates at a Bush Dance on the last night.”
